Happy 8th Birthday Hazel

Hazel celebrated something of a birthday week this year.  We kicked things off with the long awaited ear piercing the Saturday before her birthday.  She was a little nervous but did great!!!  She has been waiting and waiting and asking and asking.

Then the following Friday the twins and I brought Cookies to Hazel's class.  She was pretty excited to show off her sisters to the class.  Silly girl!

Twinning with Mrs. H for her birthday!

Saturday Hazel's sweet friend Everly stopped by to drop off a Crumble Cookie for her.

And finally Sunday was the big day!
Skinny pancakes for breakfast.

A new bike

And then a combo Super Bowl / Puppy birthday party for our little nut.
We had burritos and nachos and lots of appetizers, the kids chased Uncle Roberts pigs for what seemed like hours while we watched the game, and then came back inside just in time for cake.

And of course she got lots and lots of puppy snuggles.

Monday we got her birthday Dutch Bro drink before school
And I still owe her a birthday lunch at Taco Bell.
Don't worry she won't let me forget. :)

Oh Little Nut!  You remain the spiciest little thing in our house.  You're a BIG feeler!  You're determination is to be admired!  You're laughter is unmatched as is your volume most days, and we believe that God has an incredible plan full of BIG things that He's created your little self to do.  We are so glad that you are a part of our family and are so proud of how hard you work and who you are.  You're one of a kind and we couldn't love you more!

I heard this song the other day and I think I'll probably have to play it for your husband someday.  WAY, WAY, WAY down the road of course.  Although if your second grade crushes are an indicator of what we have ahead of us.  Lord help us!

GOD BLESS THE BOY
She won't let me help her tie her shoes.
"No, Daddy, I can do it myself"
When she don't get her way she'll cross her arms and hold her breath
She's a handful, she's a mess
Diggin' in the dirt in her princess dress
Goes from tiny tornado to sleepin' on chest
God bless the boy
That melts the way I do
When she smiles at him the first time He'll be done, oh he'll be through
Give him patience and kindness
And a heart that's full of her
And the sense to know just what she's worth
'Cause ain't nobody ever gonna be good enough
So God bless the boy she decides to love.

Happy Birthday Little Nut!

Still loves her Taco Bell burritos the MOST!!!!
