June

June 2022

June began with Carter's kindergarten graduation on the 2nd.   Take note of his cowboy boots. 💗  We love Carter so much!  He has the sweetest, biggest, most caring heart around.  He wants to be just like his daddy and has made us laugh since the very beginning.  Never change Carter.  You're the very best!!!

After graduation we went over to Ryan and Katie's house for his celebration and got to meet Harper's new ducks.

And then it was summer break...
So bring on all the silly kid games, the bikes, the barbie games, the playing school with all the leftover supplies, the sprinklers, ALL the loud outside voices ALL THE TIME, and the generally longer days of summer.

Sadie tried a volleyball camp this summer.  It started in June at it was an hour on Fridays for 8 weeks.  I was hoping it would help her get ready for the season and she liked it at first, but then we missed a couple of weeks due to sickness and vacation and she didn't know anyone and it ended up not being that great of an experience. :(  But hey we tried.

No lack of nonsense or common sense here.

The girls have been very into catching frogs and Hazel made this habitat for them.  Her last science unit at school was on tadpoles. :)

These girls...

Evie is definitely the sweetest in our bunch.  She shares even her sucker with her sisters.  Gross!!!  I know!!!

And Sadie is my biggest helper.  Sometimes I feel bad but there are days when they just like her so much more than me.  "Sadie get me dressed!  Sadie rock me!  Sadie buckle me!"  And on and on and on.

This might be the best parenting we've done in awhile.  These two literally cannon sit together without fighting.  I mean lets be honest they can't be in the same vehicle some days, cannot put their shoes on at the same time, cannot cross paths without someone saying something or reaching out to irritate the other in some way.  Drives. Us. CRAZY!!!!  So this day on the way home from church we told them if we had to say one more thing to either of them they were going to walk around the house holding hands for 5 minutes.  Well shocker of all shockers neither one of them could hold their tongue for even a minute so we enforced our punishment and it was so worth it.  We laughed so hard and they were so mad but mellowed out at least for a little bit.
She is barely holding his pinky because that's how terrible this punishment was.

We have so many blueberries this year and I love watching them out there all day picking them.
