We decided that this was the year we were going to give the kids the opportunity to try a sport. Sadie played volleyball for Crosshill and we signed the boys up to play Upward basketball. They were each able to be on a team with some friends from school which was fun and I think they really enjoyed it. Practices were on Monday and Thursday nights at 7:30 which was gross, but Brandon took them to most of those while I got the little girls to bed, and then games on Saturday were tricky but we switched off going and did take the whole family a couple of times. The bigger kids seemed to really like getting out on Saturday and loved the concession stands at the games, but we were honestly tired and ready for the season to be done. Games on Saturday on top of being out 2 evenings every week felt like a lot for us. So in summary, glad they had the opportunity, enjoyed watching our boys play, and glad to have our weekends back.
