Mayember 2025: Week 1
Pres-K Fieldtrip to On the Edge Farm
The girls took a field trip to On the Edge Farm in Dallas. It was a cute family run farm with lots of animals and places to explore. They meet a donkey, saw some cooney cooney pigs, saw some beautiful highland cows, fed the free range chickens, and planted a tree that they got to take home.

Spring Band Concert
Hazel and Cooper were both in band this year. This is Cooper's 3rd year playing the trumpet. He seems to really enjoy it and is 1st chair so I think that means he's doing great. Hazel was excited about her first year in band this year playing the flute and quickly got frustrated as she realized like most new things it takes some time to learn. She stuck with it and Sadie helped her a bit and by the end of the year I think she was glad she'd stuck with it and is even considering doing it again next year.
Spring Formal
As it turns out some things don't go the way you hope and dream they will. About 2 weeks before formal Sadie and Wesley found themselves in a spot where a break from dating was necessary. This was really hard on everyone and really really hard timing with formal right around the corner. Our hearts break to watch Sadie walk through this season that's not of her choosing. We as their parents know that this is a part of life and trust that this is a part of their story, a part of their personal and spiritual growth which we pray, pray, pray they will look back on and see God's hand in. For now though, this is REALLY, REALLY hard! This was not what Sadie dreamed of or wished for and honestly this is not a night we really want to remember. However, we were so proud of her for still going with her friend Felicity, and we are very thankful for Felicity's support and encouragement to Sadie during this time.
I had lots of little hair models to practice on. Although with 4 little girls what you do for one you have to do for all.

Concrete Pour
There are some kids at our house who are pretty excited about putting this new patio to use with their roller skates, bikes, basketball hoop and more. When you live on a hill a flat slab of concrete is AMAZING!!!

Carl's Jr. Fundraiser
Wyatt's team had the opportunity to work at Carl's Jr. for a few hours taking orders, working the drive thru, serving food, and bussing tables. They earned 40% of sales during the 3 hours they worked which ended up being nearly $1000 which was pretty awesome! This all went to helping to paying for things like catchers gear, baseballs, training equipment, and even the umpires.

It happened to be Coach Jason's Birthday.
