Track
Track has been filled with lots of ups and downs already this season mostly due to the fact that we're talking about teenagers, but also do to coaching and a variety of things. We are encouraging Sadie to push through as she's honestly a really great runner. So we will se how this season goes.
A New Couch Upstairs
We are sooooo excited to finally have a couch upstairs in our bonus room and to really get to start using this new space.
Hadley's 4th Birthday
Didn't get any pictures of the birthday girl but lots of Baby Grace snuggles as the oldest 3 got to meet her for the first time.
WE PASSED OUR FINAL!!!!
This really should get it's own post but it kinda just stuck up on us. Brandon was home one day this week to make sure all the dirt work was on track to have our back patio poured and while he was home he scheduled our final inspection. The inspector was in and out in a matter of less than 10 minutes and we passed!!!!! Yay!!!! Still a lot to do but it's sure nice to have that behind us. We went out to lunch to celebrate. Again pretty sure Brandon deserves a much bigger celebration for this than Hawaiian Time but life doesn't afford us many opportunities to pause and savor the moments these days.
A few days later we took the whole family out to celebrate with dinner at Turner Pizza.
Shopping for a Spring Formal Dress
Good Friday is when this outing happened. Not ideal in my mind but formal is just a few weeks away and this was the day that worked. Sadie went with 2 friends, Felicity and Sailor, which was fun and actually because most schools don't have this day off stores were empty and because it was so late dresses were on sale so that was great!! All 3 girls found dresses in their budgets that they loved!!!

Shopped 'til they dropped.
Birthday Parties
Henley's Party at Get Air
Hadley's Party
Hadley had a sleep-under which is cleaver. They wore pajamas and watched a movie but got picked up at 8:00.
Evie also attended Lucy's party and Hazel attended Mason's party.
Retaining Wall
The dirt mountain in the back is gone which some of the kids are pretty sad about but we're so excited about adding this space. Eventually this will all be grass with a big patio and a French door into the house.
Stopping to rescue a salamander.
Baseball
Having 2 boys is pretty great for a lot of reasons but watching them practice baseball together has to be one of my favorite things. Wyatt's coach dropped him off with catching gear the other day. Oh boy!!! Thankfully Cooper likes to pitch so we told him to throw hard and not to worry to much about accuracy so Wyatt can break in that new gear and get some good practice.
Love this kids can do attitude. He said his coach said if they didn't have another catcher they didn't have a team so he volunteered. Never tried it before and it's a tough position, but he said he was willing to learn. So here we are learning something new. May we all be as willing to step in something new and learn as Wyatt is.
The boys aren't going to get to attend many of each other's games this year as a lot of them are on the same night but it's always fun when they're both out there together. Wyatt especially is always eager to step in and help with warm-ups or do whatever he can to help. He'd probably step in and coach if he was allowed. :)
Drew, Cooper, Emmitt, Jackson
Easton, Josh, Gavin, and Jacob
This year Grammy planned a scavenger hunt, games, and a art/photo opp. She always goes above and beyond to make sure she thinks of everyone.
Mason
Maddie
Aubrey
Hazel's Field Trip to Philip Foster Farms
Everly and Hazel
Learning about what a Pioneer home would have looked like
A one room school house.
A wagon you may have seen traveling along the Oregon Trail.
A thresher
A cream separator
Meanwhile these too had too much fun with Miss Ashley.
She's the BEST babysitter and they want to stay with her tomorrow again!!
Well that's a wrap for April but more madness coming right up. I think Mayember always puts the greatest strain on our schedules as baseball ramps up even more and all the school stuff winds down with an insane amount of extra activities.
