Troyer Addition Week 10 & 11

 May 6, 2023

Week 10 and 11: Lots of odd and end jobs while the concrete guys set forms, poured the foundation, and removed forms.

SATURDAY

Saturday Sadie and I attended a baby shower for Auntie Kendra in Eugene while Brandon managed the littles here and tried to get a few things done.  Not an overly fun weekend for him but he got all of our wood reorganized and we spent a few hours splitting and stacking our remaining rounds after we got home.

MONDAY - WEDNESDAY
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the concrete crew worked on setting forms and finally on Thursday we were ready for an inspection.  Yay!!!

SATURDAY
It didn't feel like a lot of progress was made this past week and we're just kinda waiting for the foundation to be poured so that Brandon can start framing but if it had to slow down for a week I guess this was a good one as we had the Twins' birthday Wednesday and their party on Friday.   This Saturday the Boys played in a a scrimmage game, last one before the seasons starts, and Brandon was able to mow the pasture so that the septic guys will be able to navigate it a little better when they come out in a couple of weeks.

MONDAY
BIG DAY!!!!  They poured our new footings today!!!

TUESDAY-THURSDAY
Slowly the forms were removed from the footings to prepare for Jordan to return on Friday.  It's been a little hard to be patient as our concrete guys work some strange hours (like show up for 2 hours Mother's day afternoon, and then not for a few days, and then coming at 8:00 p.m. and working until 10:00 p.m.???) but it's done so we're happy!!!

FRIDAY
Jordan came back and backfilled for the garage slab and then compacted it all.  We also had our first framing package delivered and have the plumber and HVAC guys scheduled to come out Monday and Tuesday.  It's Go Time!!!  And we're all a little excited!
