It's hard to believe our Little Nut is already 6! Our first Oregon born baby...the one who never slept...the one who consistently grows our patience...the most lively of our bunch...she's 6 and in kindergarten!!!! She has grown up sooo much this year and yet she still carries the uninhibited joy and passion she's always had. If you need her she is playing Barbie games with Evie, wrangling goats, holding puppies, harassing Twinnies, watching Elsa and Anna, or convincing Evie to join her in some adventure of her own imagining. She stops only to sleep and sometimes to eat and as we watch her we wish we could borrow just a little bit of her energy and general enthusiasm for ourselves. :)
Squirrels? I don't know but this is what the Little Nut wanted. A cake with squirrels and birthday hats. I'm telling you this one has quite the imagination and is oh so silly!
Hazel we hope you felt celebrated today! You are silly and sassy and full of more energy than we know what to do with most days but we wouldn't have it any other way. You bring so much energy and joy into our lives and we love you!
Your' 6th birthday will always be memorable as your party ended with the power going out followed by a huge ice storm. Carter booked it out of our house after your party because he DOESN'T like the dark and Grammy, Robert, and Caleb stayed to help us get everyone to bed and to get Ollie settled.
Amy and Brian are in Arizona and we'd offered to let Ollie stay over night so this quickly turned into an even more exciting sleepover complete with flashlights!
