Back to School

Can't believe we've already been back at school for a week already.  It's kinda a jump into September with both feet kinda thing with 7 kids and varsity volleyball.

First real play of the season is the Blanchet Jamboree which happens on the same night as back to school.  This is also our last year with a kindergartener so it was mandatory (by me) that everyone be in Mrs. Lute's class together for our back to school photo.  I CANNOT even begin to process that this is our last time doing this.  Feels like yesterday we were bringing Sadie in to meet Mrs. Lute.

Here we come.
Plus a few.
The older kids make this a whole new experience in so many ways.

The next day it was off to Redmond for Sadie's first volleyball tournament.
It was a LONG drive and a long day but so much fun to watch them play and exciting that they were the winner of the silver bracket!!!

The girls had a costume dinner the night before the tournament.  They dressed up as the characters from Inside Out.

These two are CRAZY.  Well these three I guess.

Ollie, Cooper, and Bennett

While we were gone Hazel hung out with Lillie and Autumn for Lillie's birthday.
Evie spent the night at Harpers and the twins spent the night at Grammy's house.
So blessed by this family of ours.

Labor Day
We worked in the yard splitting wood and getting ready to build a wood shed.
The girls made a new friend.

Back to School
This year there was an added twist because Cooper is a Jr. High house leader which meant he needed to dress up and be to school 15 minutes before everyone else.  Oh Boy....

Sadie - Sophomore

Wyatt - Freshman

Cooper - 7th Grade

Hazel - 5th Grade

Evie - 3rd Grade

Aubrey - Kindergarten

Maddie - Kindergarten

This is how they greeted their classmates on the 1st day!

Brandon more or less took the day off to help me settle into the year.
After dropping the big 5 at school we went to coffee with these two silly sisters.

Then at noon it was their turn.
It's hard to know what to feel.  Excited. Sad. All the feels.

And because we're sentimental...here's all our Back to School Photos.

Evie
Beyond thankful for Mrs. Lute and for her investment in the lives of each of these kiddos and my own.  Her encouragement and faithfulness to love them well has made their transition to school seamless and honestly I can't imagine entrusting my babies to anyone else.  The way she cares for the hearts of littles is truly a gifting.
